MDRC cultivates disability pride and strengthens the disability movement by recognizing disability as a natural and beautiful part of human diversity while collaborating to dismantle all forms of oppression.

Welcome to Michigan Disability Rights Coalition's Website!

The Leadership Engagement and Advocacy Development (LEAD) program exists to provide access to vital information and training opportunities for people with disabilities so that they can advocate for themselves and others in day to day decisions regarding their care, policy issues locally, at the state level and federally and also educate the communities they live in around issues impacting people with disabilities.  Peer Facilitators are individuals who support the training experience through acting as a point of contact for processing and reflecting on the training during the cohort sessions.

The Affordable Care Act and the Health Michigan Plan (expanded Medicaid) have not been repealed! MDRC can still help you find affordable health care. Contact our Navigator, Kathleen at 517-333- 2477 x 313.
